Final Days to Submit Claims in Blue Cross Blue Shield $2.7 Billion Settlement - Deadline July 29, 2025

A $2.8 billion dollar class-action anti-trust settlement was reached between the plaintiffs (physicians, hospitals, large health systems, and provider organizations) and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield system (BCBS).  

Physicians, group practices, or facilities who delivered healthcare services to BCBS-insured patients may qualify to receive compensation from the historic $2.8 billion resolution finalized in November 2024. This is a landmark agreement representing the most significant antitrust settlement within the American healthcare industry, stemming from litigation that healthcare providers launched more than a decade ago.

Beyond financial compensation, BCBS has committed to operational improvements that will enhance the provider experience through greater transparency, streamlined processes, and enhanced accountability in claim handling procedures, including BlueCard transaction processing.

BCBS created a dedicated settlement portal for eligible class members in the BCBS antitrust case.
